Isaiah 41:10 AMP🦋
Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’
Growing up as a little girl I always felt fear. I didn’t feel safe. I was scared of everything and everyone. I was very frightened of my parents. I used to wake up under the bed or in my siblings' closet. I was jumpy and nervous. I grew up in a violent home, where I heard much screaming and witnessed things get out of control. There was screaming and alcohol for everything, as a result it would turn physical and at times very scary for a little girl. I was only 9. I remember begging and asking to stop. Unfortunately, no one cared and I had no one to look out for me, therefore, I had to hide under bed and wait for one of my oldest siblings to come home after partying. Neglected childhood experiences can set our brains to constantly fear. What happens when home is scary? When our family we are growing up in becomes the very place that represents home and hearth feels threatening? For these reasons, fear during childhood when we have not yet developed maturity has a stronger effect than at others in time. Parents are supposed to protect their children. But, what happens when they don’t? We had wealth and a beautiful house. Money was the lease of problems. My dad was well known. He had many employees, secretaries and fame at the time. None of that helped my distress and fear that I grew up with. At times I ran to my best friend's house crying and desperately seeking help. Because I had fear of death and fear of finding a tragedy. I had no one to protect me because I was a little girl and the youngest so I didn't have a choice. I was broken, I asked God many times “where are you” “I'm scared” “Help me”. Today, I can look back without any doubt or hesitation and see that it was all God's plan. “You intended to harm me, but, God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the savings of many lives”. Genesis 50:20. I forgiven my parents and siblings. Who the son sets free is free indeed. “ Fear Not”. “I already helped You”.
Traumatic childhood events can lead to mental health and behavioral problems later in life. Today, I stand firm with the full armor of God to fight against the devil schemes. I refuse to repeat the generations of curses of my family, I continue to “Break Every Chain”. I strive to be the best mother I can be, I refuse to repeat any negative behavior or general curses to my children and the children of my children. My house is a safe home. Jesus is the center of it all. “As for me and my household we will serve the Lord”.
People may be afraid of rollercoasters, cats, clowns, spiders or the dark. Is not about having the fear feeling, it is about not allowing the spirit of fear to stop you. The devil wants us to live in fear. He wants us to live useless lives in fear after fear. God wants you to be brave and bold. Readers, “Do Not be Afraid”. It has been said in the Bible more than 600 times in different ways and different translations. One translation impacted me because it says: “Fear Not, Because I already helped you”. Fear Not, Do not be afraid, Be fearless. “Fear Not”. It is so critical and so important that God wants us to hold on to his promise without fear of the future. Fear is a thief. As you read this blog today I want you to read this statement out loud. Fear Not, “God says he is with me all of the days of my life”. The devil wants you to be afraid because you failed or made a mistake before. But, God wants you to fear not. Do not look around and dismay because he is with you. Stop looking around and start looking up. Every time we go through trials it makes us a little stronger. There is fear of the facts of life, fear of the future, fear of danger, fear of the past, fear of losing a job, fear of losing your home, fear of health, fear of losing a loved one, fear of a sudden or unexplained pain that brings fear. Some people fear the loss of posesiones, fear of losing self esteem, fear of being criticized, fear of what others think about you, fear of exposure, fear of being disliked, fear of death, fear of the unknown. This is the era of fear and anxiety. Someone said “when fear knocks at your door, send faith and no one will be there”. Fear is a demonic spirit; it is not from God. Fear is the enemy's favorite tool to destroy today’s Christianity. Fear is keeping you from making progress and moving forward, fear makes you weak and insecure. Fear makes you see and hear things that are not true. Fear is a liar, because it leads you to forget all that God has done. One description of fear that I like says “Fear creates a cloud that makes you think you are alone”. “It creates a cloud that makes you blind to God's promises and his word”. Fear and faith do not mix. Jesus Christ demanded the church to “Fear Not”. Fear is mentioned in the Bible over 600 times is no small subject. from Genesis to Revelation we hear this commandment “Fear Not”. The same command was given to Abraham, Israel, Moises and David. This command was given to Daniel when he was put into the lion's cage, and to Jerusalem. The angel Gabriel gave this command to Mary, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God”. Definition of fear is “Fear is false evidence appearing real”. Fear manifests in today's society. We see anxiety disorders and stress related diseases. People are anxious about their job security, worried about their financial situation, stressed about their marriages. The Bible tells us that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, instead power and of Love”. The Bible says fear is a spirit. Remember God is sovereign, he is in control. The devil is the warlock of worry, he is a liar. The world seems to be in chaos like things are occurring haphazardly. Yet, in reading the Bible, we see God knows about fear. If we don’t believe that our God does not give us the spirit of fear but you find that there is a spirit of fear in your life, then you know who did. If the spirit of fear is stopping you, then there is something he doesn’t want you to have, He wants you to be distracted from your dreams and goals. Keep pressing forward. Because, today I’m telling you: “Fear Not, he is with you and you are not alone you are going to make it.
Do not be afraid. Press through and do not give up. Many people have a theory that God is with everyone else; but they don’t believe that God is with them. Today let go of fear and hold on to faith. Pray with me.
